artificial lake, a man made construction with a surface area of
approximately 400 km2 |
Contamination
type and problem:
Biogenic sludge. The lake is not considered polluted for the time
being. However, it is potentially threatened by uncontrolled waste
disposal out of Greek borders. Continuous sludge deposition filling
up the accretional space is the major problem at the lake. |
